If you are bored of watching your computer the same way you can change your display settings for a change. You can change these settings with Adobe gamma. This an option in the control panel and not something which should be downloaded so its easy to try and very easily restorable so there are no risks of thinking that the settings will be changes and will be difficult to restore.
To find this program just type Adobe Gamma in the search box. Select the program and a box will be displayed asking you to choose wether you need to select the wizard mode or control panel mode which is a box and more easy to use so its better to select it.
A box will appear as shown in the image where you can choose the brightness and contrast of your computer. Now under the phosphors you get a set of options. Select any one which you like and select the gamma level you need. I prefer gamma to be set low so that the screen is not glowing brighty and it helps to save energy. Then adjust the white point options and click ok. Try some more combinations and select the most appropriate one......
